Air Fryer Lemon Pepper Cod has a flavorful crispy crunchy breading and cooked to golden brown perfection in the air fryer for a healthy meal
Pat the cod fillets dry on both sides and season both sides with old Bay.
Crack the egg in one bowl and beat with a fork. Put the panko bread crumbs, lemon pepper seasoning, lemon zest, and a little more old Bay in a separate bowl and mix until combined.
Dip each cod fillet into the egg and then into the panko mixture pressing the bread crumbs into the fish. Place them in the air fryer basket and spray some olive oil cooking spray over top.
Set the air fryer to 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes until the fish has an internal temperature of 145 degrees and the panko is golden brown to your liking.
Serve the cod with lemon wedges on the side to squeeze over top and tartar sauce or remoulade sauce if desired.
