Ingredients
  • 2 cups caramelized onions (link to Slow Cooker Caramelized Onions in post above)
  • 8 oz block cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup mayo
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 5 oz block Gruyere cheese shredded
  • 1/4 cup diced chives or green onions
Instructions
  1. Put all ingredients in a greased cast iron skillet or greased casserole dish. Save some mozzarella and chives to garnish when serving.

  2. Place in a 325 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Stir until evenly combined and melted.

  3. Add the saved mozzarella and chives over top and place back in the oven until melted.

  4. Serve with crackers, Fritos Scoops, or toasted French bread.

Note: I sliced a French baguette, brushed each slice with olive oil and seasoned with kosher salt and pepper. Then baked in a 400 degree oven for 5 minutes.
