Old Bay Garlic Butter Chicken is a whole chicken seasoned with Old Bay garlic butter, it can be baked in the oven or smoked for extra flavor
Pat the chicken dry with paper towels and set aside on a tray.
Put the melted butter in a bowl and add the garlic and Old Bay. Stir until evenly mixed.
Brush some of the Old Bay garlic butter over all sides of the whole chicken, separate the skin on the breasts and pour some of the butter between the skin and chicken breasts as well.
Sprinkle more Old Bay on all sides of the chicken.
Cook the chicken according to one of these methods:
Smoker/ Traeger: Set your smoker to to 225 degrees. Place the chicken on the smoker grate and cook for 4-5 hours or until the internal temp is 170 degrees.
Oven: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Put the chicken on a baking sheet or baking dish and bake for 1 hour, or until internal temp is 170 degrees.
