Traeger Fireball Whiskey Bacon is thick cut bacon soaked in Fireball Whiskey and then smoked to the ultimate candied bacon treat
Separate the bacon strips and place them in a large bowl.
In another bowl add the brown sugar, maple syrup, Fireball, and cinnamon. Whisk until combined and add this mixture to the bowl with the bacon. Use your hands to gently toss the bacon so it's well coated.
Turn the Traeger on and set the temp to 225 degrees. Start placing the bacon right away, no need to let it preheat. I found it best to use my hands to place them on the grill grates. Brush some remaining sauce over top of the bacon.
Note: I have an Ironwood 885 and three pounds of bacon just fit, if you have a smaller Traeger this may need two batches or cut the recipe in half.
Let the bacon cook for 50 minutes, flip them, brush with more glaze if you have any left, and cook an additional 50 to 70 minutes. This will largely depend on the bacon thickness and how you want them cooked.
Note: Watch for hotter and cooler spots during the last half of cooking, some bacon may need to be moved or taken off early.
Let cool before serving and sprinkle extra cinnamon and sugar over top if desired.
