Grilled Thai Basil Chicken is a unique, flavorful grilled chicken dinner, chicken thighs in a marinade made with freshly chopped Thai basil

Ingredients
  • 6 to 8 boness, skinless chicken thighs (or 4 chicken breasts)
  • 20 to 25 Thai basil leaves
  • 2 Tbsps soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 1 Tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 Tbsp sriracha
  • 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp garlic paste or minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp ginger paste or minced ginger
  • Optional: 1 Tbsp Thai Seasoning stir in paste (picture in post above)
  • sweet Thai chili sauce for dipping
Instructions
  1. Trim the chicken thighs if needed and place them in a gallon size plastic bag.

  2. Finely chop the Thai basil leaves and put them in a bowl.

  3. To the bowl with the Thai basil add the soy sauce, honey, fish sauce, sriracha, vinegar, garlic, ginger, and Thai seasoning paste if using. Whisk until combined.

  4. Add the marinade to the bag with the chicken. Massage the bag until the chicken is coated, place in the fridge and marinate at least an hour or overnight.

  5. Preheat the grill to medium high heat. Grill the chicken 4 to 5 minutes per side.

  6. Serve with sweet Thai chili sauce for dipping
