A delicious one pan meal of steak and mushrooms with garlic butter!
Cut the steak into inch size cubes and place in a bowl. Add olive oil, garlic paste, kosher salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
Cut the portobello mushrooms in half.
In a cast iron skillet or heavy bottom skillet over medium high heat, add 1 Tbsp butter and half of the steak cubes. Cook 2 minutes per side and remove from pan. Add another Tbsp of the butter and the remaining steak, cook 2 minutes per side and remove from pan.
Add 1 more Tbsp butter and the mushroom halves, kosher salt, and pepper. Cook 4 to 5 minutes. Add the cooked steak and the last Tbsp butter. Cook 2 more minutes and toss to coat evenly.
Taste for seasoning, add more kosher salt or pepper if needed.
