Honey Cinnamon Sweet Potatoes and Apples is an easy, light, and delicious side dish to go with dinner all made in one pan, the perfect combo of flavors!
Dice the sweet potatoes and apples (skin on both) into half inch cubes.
Set a large skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil, once the oil is hot add the diced sweet potatoes. Sprinkle with kosher salt and pepper, cook 4 to 5 minutes stirring occasionally.
Add the diced apples, ground cinnamon, ground cumin, crushed red pepper flakes, and water. Cook 4 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add the honey and cook 3 to 4 more minutes. Taste for seasoning and add more kosher salt and pepper if needed.
