Air Fryer Chicken and Waffle Nachos
Well, excuse my appearance here, but these Air Fryer Chicken and Waffle Nachos were my actual breakfast early one morning.
I kept this recipe super simple by using Eggo frozen waffles and frozen boneless popcorn chicken.
How to make Air Fryer Chicken and Waffle Nachos
First put a few pieces of the frozen chicken into the air fryer basket.
Set the air fryer to 400 degrees for about 9 to 11 minutes.
With about 3 to 4 minutes left, add two of the frozen waffles.
While the chicken and waffles were crisping up in the air fryer, I made scrambled eggs.
You really don’t need a lot of eggs, so crack just one large egg into a bowl with some milk, kosher salt, and pepper.
Then cook in a skillet over medium heat with some butter for a few minutes.
Once the waffles are done, cut them into fourths.
And add the scrambled eggs over top.
Cut the chicken and add that as well… and some shredded cheese if preferred.
I did not add cheese, even though it seemed like the correct nacho-ish thing to do.
I did, however, add plenty of maple syrup and hot sauce!
Air Fryer Chicken and Waffle Nachos looked awfully fancy, and very fun!
I just popped them into my mouth one at a time, a very big bite but oh so yummy!
