Air Fryer Jalapeno Poppers

Air Fryer Jalapeno Poppers

I used my air fryer last night to make this recipe for Air Fryer Jalapeno Poppers as a special treat.

And oh my….they were insanely yummy!

I usually use my air fryer for healthy dinners and side dish recipes, but not this week, my friends.

This is the weird week in between Christmas and New Year where I don’t even know what day it is, I’m living in pajama pants, and in total junk food snacky mode.

This “New Year, New Me” stuff doesn’t start for a few days, so I’m living it up until then 🙂

I even grew my own jalapenos in my garden in the summer!

How to make Air Fryer Jalapeno Poppers

I started the bacon in the air fryer, which is THE only way I make bacon anymore.

Just ten minutes at 390 degrees and it’s perfectly cooked with basically no effort on my part.

As the bacon was cooking in the air fryer, I cut 8 jalapenos in half lengthwise.

Then I used a metal spoon to scrape the white ribs and seeds out.

Once the bacon was cooled I added it to a bowl with cream cheese and shredded cheese.

Mix it up for the filling for the jalapenos.

Hint: having the cream cheese at room temp does make it a little easier to mix.

Then stuff each jalapeno with the cream cheese mixture just like this…

Then add these jalapeno poppers to the air fryer basket in a single layer.

I have a 5.8 quart air fryer and all 16 poppers fit perfectly.

If your air fryer is smaller, you may need to do these in two batches.

Simply set the air fryer to 370 degrees for 8 minutes and they are perfectly cooked!

Air Fryer Jalapeno Poppers are the perfect snack or appetizer.

Easy to make, a great combo of cheese and bacon, and super delicious!

Ingredients

  • 6 slices bacon
  • 8 oz cream cheese at room temp
  • 1 cup shredded cheese of choice (I used Mexican blend)
  • 8 jalapeno peppers

Instructions

  1. Lay the bacon flat in the air fryer basket, set the air fryer to 390 degrees for 10 minutes. (Thicker bacon may need an extra minute or two).

  2. Remove the bacon and once cooled, crumble it into bite size pieces.

  3. Mix together the cream cheese, shredded cheese, and bacon in a bowl.

  4. Slice the jalapenos in half lengthwise and scrape the seeds and white ribs off with a metal spoon.

  5. Stuff the cheese mixture into each jalapeno and place them stuffed side up in the air fryer basket. Set the air fryer to 370 degrees for 8 minutes.

Note: Depending on the size of your air fryer this may need to be done in two batches.
